- Card Description : If this card attacks or is attacked, during damage calculation (in either player's turn): You can pay 2000 Life Points once per battle; this card gains 3000 ATK during that damage calculation only.
- OCG Rulings :
- This effect activates during damage calculation.
- Paying 2000 Life Points is a cost to activate this effect.
- If this card battles, you can activate this effect during your opponent's turn.
- This effect can only be activated once per Damage Step.
- During the Damage Step, cards like "Rush Recklessly" can only be activated before damage calculation. You cannot Chain "Rush Recklessly" to the effect of "Injection Fairy Lily" which activates during damage calculation.
- This effect can be activate more than once during the same Battle Phase, but not during the same Damage Step. This effect can only be activated once per battle. Therefore, when you attack with "Injection Fairy Lily" you can only activate its effects once, and when it is atacked, you can activate its effects once for each monster that attacked it.
- If your Life Points becomes 0 to pay a cost, then you will immediately lose the Duel. Therefore, if you have exactly 3000 Life Points, you can activate her effect, but you lose the Duel immediately before damage calculation.
- You can only have one Chain during damage calculation.
- Example: If the effect of "Kuriboh" and "Injection Fairy Lily" are activated, the effect of "Kuriboh" can be activated in a Chain to the effect of "Injection Fairy Lily", but the effect of "Kuriboh" cannot be activated in a new Chain after the effect of "Injection Fairy Lily" resolves.
- You can activate "Divine Wrath" and "Gladiator Beast War Chariot" during the Damage Step in chain to an Effect Monster's effect. You can also activate these cards during damage calculation, for example, in chain to the effect of "Injection Fairy Lily".
- Card Tips :
- This card can be searched by "Serpentine Princess", "Vampire Dragon", "Magician's Circle", "Sphere of Chaos", "Dragunity Corsesca", "Giant Rat", "Magiquipped Warrior Arnis", "Spellbook Star Hall" and "The Grand Spellbook Tower".
- "Injection Fairy Lily" is one of the few cards in the game to activate specifically during Damage Calculation, meaning that aside from cards that negate the activation of effects, there is little that can be done to stop her effect from activating if her attack is successful.
- Additionally, this means if "Lily's" attack is negated or otherwise interrupted, you won't have the opportunity to pay the cost for her effect.
- "Injection Fairy Lily" works well with "Cybernetic Magician". By discarding a card, and paying 2000 Life Points, "Injection Fairy Lily" becomes a 5000 ATK Spellcaster - which is perfect for dealing large amounts of damage when you can directly attack your opponent's Life Points.
- Since "Injection Fairy Lily" has a higher DEF (1500) than its ATK (400), use effects like "Shield & Sword"/"Inverse Universe" or the effect of "Great Spirit" for a potential ATK of 4500.
- Equip this card with "Telekinetic Charging Cell" while "DNA Surgery" is active, so she has 3400 ATK without having to pay Life Points.
- With "Shadow Delver" and "DNA Transplant" you can attack your opponent directly.
- Alternatively, use "Demotion" and "Opti-Camouflage Armor" to achieve the same effect.
- This card works well with "Level Limit - Area B"/"Gravity Bind", since, despite its potential for an extremely high Attack, it is only level three.
- This card can be revived by "Limit Reverse".
- This card works well with "Debris Dragon" to easily summon "Black Rose Dragon" if it is in your Graveyard.
- This card works well with "Messenger of Peace" because her ATK is lower than 1500 when she declares an attack, allowing you to bypass the effect of "Messenger of Peace".
- Combine "Injection Fairy Lily" with "Magic Hole Golem" to inflict a Direct attack of 3200 points of damage.
- Equip "Injection Fairy Lily" with "Unstable Evolution" and attack to make her have 5400 ATK if you have less Life Points than your opponent and 4000 ATK if you have more. This is a powerful first attack because she is guaranteed to have 5400 ATK if you and your opponent both had the same Life Points when you attack.
- This card can work well in a deck relying on "Black Garden" as you summon this card, it goes to 200 your opponent gets a Rose Token and you attack it then pay 2000 Life Points to deal 2400 to your opponent.
- It's better if you summon "Injection Fairy Lily" before activating "Black Garden", so its attack is not halved.
- Epuip her with cards like "Mage Power" and "United We Stand" as these cards not only increase her ATK but her DEF as well use her effect once to deal massive damage then switch her to defense mode and use her as a shield until the time is right and preserve your life points or go on the offensive without using her effect until you have a clear shot at your opponents life points.
- "Neo-Spacian Air Hummingbird" can add many life points to offset the cost of Injection Fairy Lily.
- "Golden Ladybug", "Cure Mermaid, "White Magician Pikeru" and "Solemn Wishes" also work well for this purpose.
- "Infected Mail" allows you to attack directly, at the cost of sending her to the grave afterwards.
- As she is already difficult to destroy by battle, using "Gagagashield" and/or "Spellbook of Wisdom" in conjunction with "Injection Fairy Lily" can protect her from destructive card effects making her even harder to overcome.
- For added support, "Spellbook of Power" can also be used to not only increase Lily to a potential 4400 ATK but also search out "Spellbook of Wisdom" if she destroys a monster.
- Because of her low original attack, "Power Frame" is a good card to use in conjunction with Lily, especially if your life points are too low to use her effect.
- Since you may not want to pay such a heavy cost to destroy a defence position monster, equipping "Lily" with "Fairy Meteor Crush" or using the effect of "Ebon Arrow" can allow you to continue to inflict damage to your opponent and balance out the cost paid for "Lily".
