- Card Description : When a Spell Card is activated: Discard 1 card; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it.
- OCG Rulings :
- If the activation of your opponent's Spell/Trap card is negated with "Magic Jammer" or "Seven Tools of the Bandit" while "Medium of the Ice Barrier" is on the field, your opponent can activate another Spell/Trap Card.
- If "Magic Jammer" is chained to "Geartown", "Magic Jammer" resolves first and negates and destroys "Geartown" as Chain Link 2. Chain Link 1 does not resolve since "Geartown"'s activation was negated. The last thing to resolve is "Magic Jammer", so you can activate the effect of "Geartown" and Special Summon an "Ancient Gear" monster.
- If the activation of "Spell Power Grasp" is negated by "Magic Jammer" etc, then another "Spell Power Grasp" can be activated.
- If the activation of "Reinforce Truth" is negated by an effect like "Seven Tools of the Bandit" or "Magic Jammer" [sic], then you can still enter your Battle Phase. If only the effect of "Reinforce Truth" is negated by an effect like "Royal Decree", then you cannot enter your Battle Phase.
- While an effect like that of "Banisher of the Radiance" or "Macro Cosmos" is active, it is impossible to discard a card to the Graveyard. The activation costs of the effects of "Jowgen the Spiritualist", "Abyss Soldier" and "Return of the Doomed" require you to discard a card to the Graveyard, which is impossible, so you cannot activate their effects. However, the activation costs of effects like "Magic Jammer" only require you to discard a card, so you can activate their effects since the card does not need to be discarded to the Graveyard.
- Counter Trap Cards are Spell Speed 3, so you cannot activate the Spell Speed 2 effect of "Stardust Dragon" in Chain to the effect of a Counter Trap Card like "Magic Jammer", "Seven Tools of the Bandit", or "Divine Wrath".
- Card Tips :
- This card is great for dumping cards for Fusions, and for monsters to gain ATK, etc. It works especially well for dumping "Treeborn Frog", "Destiny Hero - Dasher", "Night Assailant", "Sinister Serpent" and "Elemental Hero Necroshade" in the Graveyard.
- This card is extremely useful in order to get an empty hand for an Infernity deck.
