• The equipped monster gains 1000 ATK. When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard: You can Tribute 1 monster; return this card to the top of the Deck.

• OCG Rulings :
• Tributing a monster on your side of the field is a cost of the effect that returns this card to the Deck.
• The effects "destroy all face-up Spell and Traps" and "inflict 300 damage to each player for each card destroyed" of "Fairy Wind" are considered to resolve simultaneously. If "Axe of Despair" is destroyed by "Fairy Wind", then you can activate the effect of "Axe of Despair". (You do not miss the timing.)

• Card Tips :
• This card can be searched via "Hidden Armory", "Power Tool Dragon" and "Archfiend Heiress".
• This equip card is best used with a monster that can attack twice in one Battle Phase, such as Mataza the Zapper or a monster card equipped with Twin Swords of Flashing Light - Tryce.
• Maha Vailo, who gains 500 additional ATK points for each Equip Spell Card, will gain 1500 attack points in total.
• Equipping this to Obnoxious Celtic Guard will give you an efficient tool for destroying Monarchs, plus Obnoxious Guard won't be destroyed.
• The Six Samurai - Nisashi also fulfills this role, provided there is another Six Samurai on the field to enable his effect.
• If this card would be destroyed, you can Tribute a "Black Ptera" to get the card to the top of your deck while preventing an excess loss in advantage.
• Equip this card to Elemental Hero Wildheart for a 2500 ATK beat stick which is not affected by traps.
• Equip this card to monsters being able to attack directly, like Jinzo 7, Blackwing - Fane the Steel Chain, and Toon Monsters if you happen to be playing a Toon Deck.
• The tribute cost of returning this card from the graveyard to the top of your deck can be used for getting rid of "Lava Golem" and the "Ojamas."
• Tribute D.D. Scout Plane for a top deck and to be returned during the end phase (assuming it was banished since tributed)
• This card also works well in "Hieratic" deck, since the tributing cost of this card can be useful for your dragons
• However cards that can be activated in the damage step (like Shrink or Rush Recklessly) may give your opponent less opportunity to counter your card.
• Use this on an opponent's monster before activating Magic Cylinder for 1000 more burn damage.
• Use this on an opponent's monster and then activate Fiery Fervor to double your monsters attack.
• The attack boost this gives is better than Rush Recklessly, but it can be argued since "Rush Recklessly" can be chained during anytime during a turn (including the damage step) that it may not be a superior card.
