• This card can be searched by "Field-Commander Rahz", "Rescue Rabbit", "Princess Cologne", "Vampire Dragon", "Resonator Engine", "Azure Dragon Summoner", "Dark General Freed", "Freed the Matchless General", "Reinforcement of the Army", "Soul Rope", "Dragunity Corsesca", "Chaos Zone", "Creeping Darkness", "Summoner Monk", "Gaia The White Knight" and "Exchange of Twilight".
• This card's strongest Union Monster is "Kiryu". While equipped with "Kiryu" this card's ATK is 2700 and its DEF is 2400.
• Even though you can tribute "Kiryu" to have "Dark Blade" attack directly, since he's a Level 4 DARK Monster you can use "Shadow Delver" to allow him to attack directly every turn and keep his 2700 ATK.
• While this card is equipped with "Pitch-Dark Dragon" it can use "Curse of Anubis" to great effect. It's still a Normal Monster so it won't switch to Defense Position and "Pitch-Dark Dragon" gives it a piercing effect so it can take advantage of the opponent's 0 DEF Effect Monsters.
• His Normal Monster status allows him to use a lot of cards Effect Monsters can't. You can Special Summon him from the Graveyard with "Knight of the Red Lotus", "Birthright", "Silent Doom" and "Soul Resurrection". You can Special Summon him from your hand with "Faustian Bargain" and "Two-Man Cell Battle". If he's on the field you can use him with "Non-Spellcasting Area", "Secrets of the Gallant", "Justi-Break" and "Amulet of Ambition".
